The article publication charge for Journal of Ovonic Research is €1,500 for each article.

  - Publication fee covers the reviewing process, technical processing and free access to the online edition. The payment must be made only after approval of the paper for publication. A letters of acceptance will be forwarded by the by the Managing Editor. 

  - Withdrawal fee policy (in compliance with COPE guidelines): If a withdrawal request is submitted before Copyediting, a 20% resource utilization fee will be charged; if submitted after Copyediting but before Galley Proof, a 30% fee will be charged; if submitted during the Galley Proof stage, a 50% fee will be charged.

  - Before you submit a paper please read the Journal Scope and Instructions for authors. 

  - Your paper must be in the research area described at the Journal Scope for it to be accepted for reviewing. 

  - Your article must respect the Article template and must be edited as requested. 

  - Plagiarism is not acceptable in this journal. Please read the Ethics and plagiarism and make sure your manuscript does comply with our standards. 

  - You must also fill in the Copyright statement and send it to us if your article will be accepted. 

  - When you submit a paper to Journal of Ovonic Research, please send as attached file the information requested in the Declaration of authenticity.

All articles published in our journals are open-access and freely available to readers without incurring any subscription fees. In order to continue with this open-access model and maintain publishing quality, authors are required to pay Article Processing Charges (APCs). These charges cover the costs associated with processing manuscripts, including peer review, copyediting, typesetting, and publishing, as well as expenses for maintaining online tools for editors and authors, journal hosting, abstracting and indexing services, and customer services. APCs are applicable only to authors whose manuscripts are successfully accepted after peer review. The APCs, payable before publication, can be charged to either the authors, their funders, institutions, or employers.

The APC for the JOR is €1,500. Authors who wish to request a waiver of the APC for their manuscript may submit a written application to the journal. The application letter must state the reason for the waiver (e.g., lack of relevant funding support) and the specific amount requested, and must be signed by all authors. The scanned copy of the application should then be sent to the journal’s email address (JOR: JOR@chalcogen.ro). The journal will review the application in accordance with its policies, and if approved, a corresponding waiver will be granted.
